Bollywood going Hollywood style again…. Hollywood studios have their several films release on Wednesday, so that they can have a 5-day bountiful weekend. Film maker Nikhil Advani has thought of following the same trend for his film SALAAM-E-ISHQ, which was slated for release on Friday, 26th January 2007. Advani has decided to re-schedule the release date of his film by bringing it two days earlier i.e., on Wednesday, 24th January 2007. Except for India and Dubai, the film will release on Friday in other international markets – U.S., U.K and South East Asia. According to Nikhil, “Why not capitalize on a 5-day weekend?” Nikhil smiles, “In any case, 26th January is a national holiday [Republic Day] and if we bring the film on Wednesday, you can be assured of a whopping first weekend business.” Meanwhile, on 2nd December the music of SALAAM-E-ISHQ will hit music stores.
